We may also receive information about you from third parties such as travel Suppliers, host agency partners, or referral sources in connection with a booking you have initiated.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: to respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about travel services, to plan and manage travel arrangements on your behalf, to process payments and send invoices or receipts, to share necessary details with Suppliers including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators in order to complete your bookings, to send you booking confirmations, itinerary updates, and other service-related communications, to send optional marketing communications if you have opted in, to improve this website and understand how visitors interact with our content, to meet legal and regulatory obligations, and to protect the rights and safety of Destinations by Donna and its clients. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances. With Suppliers such as airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and ground transportation providers in order to complete your travel bookings. These Suppliers operate under their own privacy policies, and by booking through Destinations by Donna, you acknowledge that your information will be shared with the Suppliers required to fulfill your itinerary. We do not store full credit card numbers on our systems. In connection with a business transfer, merger, or acquisition, in which case your information would remain subject to the protections described in this policy. We do not share your information with advertisers or unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Supplier Privacy Practices

When you book travel through Destinations by Donna, your personal information will be shared with the Suppliers providing your travel services. Each Supplier operates under its own privacy policy and data practices, which are entirely separate from ours. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any Supplier involved in your itinerary. Destinations by Donna is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party Suppliers.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

This website may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze how the site is used. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us recognize returning visitors, understand how pages are used, and improve our content over time. Types of cookies we may use include strictly necessary cookies that allow the website to function properly, analytics cookies that help us understand visitor behavior in aggregate, and preference cookies that remember your settings or choices between visits. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of this website. By continuing to use this website with cookies enabled, you consent to their use as described in this policy. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge, and we do not sell cookie data to third parties. If we ever use advertising or remarketing tools that place cookies on your device, we will update this policy to reflect that and provide you with appropriate notice and opt-out options.

If you have opted in to receive marketing communications from Destinations by Donna, we may send you emails or messages about travel inspiration, promotions, destination highlights, or updates about our services. These communications are entirely optional. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect your receipt of service-related messages such as booking confirmations or itinerary updates, which are necessary to fulfill your travel arrangements. We do not share your contact information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, provide ongoing travel services, maintain business records, and comply with legal and tax obligations. In general, we retain client records for a minimum of seven years following a completed booking in accordance with standard business and record keeping requirements. If you request deletion of your information, we will honor that request to the extent permitted by law. Certain records may be retained longer if required by a legal obligation, ongoing dispute, or contractual requirement. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.

Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate precautions to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or loss. These measures include using secure communication methods for transmitting sensitive information, limiting access to your information to those who need it to provide services to you, working only with reputable third-party service providers who maintain appropriate security practices, and keeping our systems and software up to date.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us has been compromised, please contact us immediately. We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors who maintain their own security standards.

California Privacy Rights

As a California-registered seller of travel, we acknowledge the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related regulations. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion of their personal information, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

International Visitors and GDPR

This website is operated from the United States. If you are visiting from outside the United States, including from the European Union or United Kingdom, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not have the same data protection laws as your country. If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR, including the right to access your data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to certain processing activities. Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is generally the performance of a contract when we are arranging travel on your behalf, compliance with legal obligations where applicable, and legitimate interests in operating our business and communicating with prospective clients. Where we rely on your consent, such as for marketing communications, you may withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise your rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, please contact us directly.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will take prompt steps to delete that information. For travel bookings involving minors, all personal information is provided by and collected from the parent or legal guardian who is the client of record. We handle information about minors only as necessary to complete the travel arrangements requested by their parent or guardian.

Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites, including government agencies, Suppliers, and informational resources. This privacy policy applies only to this website and our own business practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit through a link on our website before submitting any personal information.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting that your browsing activity not be tracked. Because there is currently no uniform standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, this website does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. We will revisit this position as industry standards develop.

Electronic Communications

These communications may include booking confirmations, itinerary updates, payment notices, and other service-related messages. You agree that notices and disclosures provided to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be delivered in writing.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal information, Destinations by Donna will notify affected individuals as required by applicable state and federal law. Notification will be provided in the most expedient time possible and will describe the nature of the breach, the types of information involved, the steps we are taking to address the breach, and what you can do to protect yourself. If you believe your information has been compromised in connection with Destinations by Donna, please contact us immediately so we can investigate and respond appropriately.

We reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date and will take effect immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we handle your information. Continued use of this website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
